Aramis made it two wins in a row after fighting out a tight finish in the Tursa Grafton Guineas Quailiy over 1600m. The 3 year-old son of Contributer was coming into the race full of confidence following a 3 length victory at Gosford three weeks earlier.
Trained out of Randwick, Mark Newnham had him beautifully prepared 3rd up to be strong over the mile contest. Promising young jockey Tom Sherry gave Aramis a perfect steer, pushing through a needle eye gap to prevail in a thrilling finish.

He is also a full-brother to Campionessa (Contributer) who has won 4 starts for Te Akau Racing and was last seen finishing close up in the Listed Kaimai Stakes.
